Politics - the boring topic?

OK so today`s not so popular topic is Politics. But I`m looking to approach it from a different perspective. Of course the word has many meanings depending on how it`s used and the idiomatic phrases it composes.

I`m here to strictly talk about the general idea of "doing politics" and what I think it means. Was thinking a lot about this the other day and in general with the whole world context we`re in, right? US Presidential elections, some local office elections in Romania coming and the overall conversation about the management of COVID in certain countries. At the same time, it is more or less surprising to see groups of people protest in most countries around the world against common-sense COVID related mandates, like wearing a mask in public spaces packed with people.

So in this context, I was thinking, it has to be a difficult time for politicians , law-makes as well on top of all the doctors and primary care folks in this space (the overwhelming effects on their psyche, their bodies under so much stress and long hours of work, will eventually have to be the focus as we slowly get out of this period); so.. and not to disregard health-care workers, but to focus on my train of thought here, I was trying to scope the magnitude of this kind of worldly occurrence on the entire political spectrum.

And I know this has put into light the good , the bad and the worst in our politicians in addressing the issue and in the law-enforcement strategies they employed.

In any case… my point really was that we, the people (individuals) rarely think to grasp to again overwhelming super-structure and its mechanisms that keep this entire world organized and functioning in some kind of way. We rarely understand that at least in great proportion of the globe things function pretty much normally, allowing us to live normal, so-called fulfilling lives (`course not getting ourselves into the privilege related discussions at this time). So you can just spend a few minutes imagining all of these day-by-day, minute-by-minute transactions between several world leaders in different political positions negotiating , treating, discussing , etc. It`s a huge responsibility on what can be one simple human being. Yeah Yeah I know there`s the occasional conspiracy theories about a small group of people ruling the world from the shadows, again not that discussion here (yet).

Politics in this context though isn`t just simple discussion and negotiation between groups of interests/states, right? It is also, as very much highlighted by 2020 , about biology, the environment, weather, medicine, chemistry, physics, technology, building and crafting, science in every sense of the word. So when people come out saying politics is boring, doesn`t concern them, "they don’t do politics", etc just because they may not be actively involved, they don`t really truly understand how actively part of the whole process they are and how this kind of discussion touches every area and every aspect of our lives both individually and at a mass-scale.

I was thinking now, so what does it really mean for you to "be interested in politics" or even associate to some level with the term its self? Do you think it means you have to study like a political science career, read dozens of books on political history and theory to understand the structure and organization of it? I mean yes sure that could also be helpful to understand the concept of it, and scope it in a macro perspective about the world but maybe also, we`re mistakenly false-separating ourselves from a phenomenon that  we are individually even more a part of than we chose to believe and that disassociating with it, may not make it less relevant, make us less relevant, or make the outcome less relevant.

I guess I`ll close this off with what I think is and has been my personal trade-mark, I`ve always had so many diverse interests and may often times come off as pretentious saying I know some above average stuff about medicine, biology, tech and other areas even without studying any of them in depth. But it`s only because I feel it sometimes inevitable becomes relevant to my life and living and being a conscious-active part of the world and what is happening. So by wanting to understand myself and my role in the world, I need to understand how it works so that then I can supposedly understand what my piece is in the grand-scheme of things.

Haven`t gotten there yet that`s for sure, but I guess the whole idea that "Politics is boring" and its somehow disconnected from who we are, and all politicians are some kind of way, I personally think is wrong and it`s mentally falsely separating us from a world that we are actively participating in whether we like it or not.
