What does 'your thoughts create your reality' mean?
Alrighty, finally back at this after a good while! Managing my own expectations and feelings and work-life and every other relationship in my life for the past month has been a biiit of a struggle…
Through the ins and outs of this struggle, I have been looking into a lot of content about manifestation and law of attraction; now don’t get me wrong (just to level-set here) I’m not and never been into these things as life-practice (maybe I will who knows?!), but I am naturally curious about any idea or concept about life and the world we exist in. So, with that I’ve been consuming quite a bit of YouTube and Podcasts on the topic, like Law of Attraction in Action Podcast, Leor Alexandra’s video and others, so this weird thought came back to nag on me since it had been sitting there in the back of my mind for a quite some time now…
What if everything that was ever written about in a Sci-Fi book or predictions/premonitions or every futuristic movie that was ever made, every play ever written and played about the concept of the future and life was all at the time a co-creation energy put into our collective reality? And what does that even mean?
It may sound crazy but I like entertaining crazy thoughts and this one keeps coming back so I have to address it. It’s all making me spin and twist around my own thoughts about even all that I put on my blog here; discussions I have with friends and people I know, scenarios I think of or come across in any social/life-related circumstance.
I mean think of all the movies and TV series , like The 100 or Away, all of Jules Verne’s writings in the 1800s with all the mystical, magical creatures and inventions he wrote about , which centuries later, became a normal-standing reality for us (or at least close to it). All of Nostradamus’ predictions that ever came true. Hell, Elon Musk is almost ready to send us to Mars so "Away” suddenly isn’t as far away as they made it sound in that series.
What or where is the line between co-creation by imagining things happening in the future, law of attraction and prediction? I mean is there any meaning anymore behind either of these concepts depending on which side of the spectrum you sit on? What was this Phineas Parkhurst Quimby guy on to playing with his own body and mind in trying to heal his tuberculosis? 🤔
And most importantly, is everything every human being has ever thought about or imagined about the world around them as distorted, dystopian and broken or as beautiful, utopian and perfect as it could be, in any way intertwined with our destiny as humanity? Why some ideas actually become reality vs others, is it really what all of humanity actually wanted even if subconsciously?
So when the world is “seeing the future” collectively it suddenly becomes a collective reality? And does this really mean that every human being’s conditions, circumstances, environment, framework of thought, and how they structure the world in their mind is contributing just as much to what the state of the world is persistently? Or is it real-live information of what current/present conditions indicate about the outcome of the “future” because it’s all real-time happening (yet another movie reference : Arrival).
And I can’t help but wonder about what the rise of such concepts will even mean for humanity as a species and the world it exists in.
Do books, TV shows, movies and even unexpressed thought predict or co-create a collective reality and what’s our individual responsibility for that if so?
